This morning at midnight, I went with some friends to the release of the fourth book in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn. The release party we went to was not nearly as packed as what I heard the Utah parties were, so we didn't have to wait in line hardly at all. Most of the small crowd were goth-dressed teenagers. We Twenty-something Mormon Mommies were definitely the minority!I got my hands on my copy a full two hours before my Mom and sisters in Utah, and of course, had to call and rub it in. They were a bit jealous. I think it was the first time I've ever heard my Mom admit that there might be advantages to living in the East!
Well, I'd better get reading. I gotta find out if Edward and Bella live happily ever after. Hopefully I won't neglect my family too much the next couple of days!

I have heard all about these books but haven't read a word of them. Sounds like you were one of the first to get it!!

You guys crack me up. I picked up a copy for Lyndsey yesterday while grabbing some groceries. She's started reading and is about 8 or 9 chapters in. And I must say, she's gotten me hooked on them as well. I don't see how guys can't be interested......there's great cars, crazy fight scenes, and my personal favorite, great architectural taste on behalf of the Cullens. It's great to see how you, Bryan and your kids are doing. I can't believe how huge little Andrew is getting. We hope you are all well.

I can't wait to read Rachel's copy when she is done! I wish I could have gone to the party but nowadays I'm in bed by 10pm... I feel like an old lady! I'm so excited to read this book! I'm glad you all are nerds sometimes, by the way!
I think there will be many Mom's trying not to neglect their kids too much this week. (me included) I'm excited to read it too!

So i just started reading them two days ago. I am finnished with the first and went right back to the store for the second. I can not put these books down!!

So what did you think of the book? I personally liked it and read it very quickly so I only neglected my family for 1 day! Now I want to start all over and read them again, but I might skip New Moon as it is not my fav.

I know what you mean in the "neglect" department. I'm hooked on those books and it took a lot of self control to not just sit down and read it cover to cover and let my hubby fend for himself.
