Remember, she's only two years old!
Me: "Those are Mommy's earrings. You need to put them back in my jewelry box."
Hannah: "But can I get some earrings for MEEEEEEE?"
Me: "When you are a little bigger, you can have your own earrings."
Hannah: "Okay! And Hannah can have some pink earrings. And Hannah can have some red earrings. And Hannah can have some green earrings!"
Me: "Yep."
Hannah: "But I really NEEEEEEEED some red earrings!"
Oh boy! She's only two! I thought It would be several years before we started having conversations like this! :) Girls are definitely different creatures than boys!

My Daily Dose of Affirmation
Me: "Why?"
Logan: "Because you always do look very cute."
Me: "Oh, thanks, Logan!"
Logan: "Uh-huh. And sometimes you wear a ponytail."
Me: "Do I still look cute with a ponytail?"
Logan: "Yeah. I always will love you!" (pause) "And you know when I stop loving you?"
Me: "When?"
Logan: "On...um...Saturdays."
Me: "Oh yeah? How 'come?"
Logan: "Cause that's the day you tormenize me."
Me: "TORMENIZE?"
Logan: "Yeah, that means that you beat me at games." (pause) "But I will always love you."

Logan: "Mom, you've been baptized, right?"
Me: "Yes."
Logan: "And Daddy's been baptized, right?"
Me: "Yes."
Logan: (thinking hard for a moment) "I don't think I want to be baptized."
Me: "Oh? Why not?"
Logan: (sounding a little scared) "Well, I really don't want to see the Holy Ghost!"

His future bride will be relieved to know...
Me: "Logan, when are you going to wipe your own bum?"
Logan: "When I grow up."
Me: "When will that be?"
Logan: "When I get married. Yeah, when I get married I will wipe my own bum."

Mom: "Andrew, I just can't figure out what to get your Dad for Christmas! Do you have any ideas?"
Andrew, thinking for a moment: "Well, he has really been wanting a rool canal for a while now."

I Did It!
"Want this!"
"What's that?"
"MAM!" (That's me. Not Mama. It's MAM! I think she learned this one from her older bothers who are always screaming, "MOM" at me.)
"ouch"
"uh-oh!"
"eyes"
"I did it!"
This one is probably my favorite! Whenever she's done something new, like go down a slide by herself or jump to me in the pool, I've always said, "You did it!" Well, now whenever she does something that she's proud of, she gets a big grin on her face and says, "I did it!"
Andrew and Logan have always loved jumping off the stairs in our living room. The other day, Hannah was watching her brothers and decided that she could do it too. So she climbed the first stair, stood on the very edge, bent her little legs, leaned forward and.... face-planted on the carpet. I wasn't sure if she was hurt or not, so I just held my breath and waited. Then she looked up at me with that proud grin on her face and said, "I DID IT!" She spent the next 30 minutes taking turns "jumping" off the stairs with her brothers.
