INDY Photo Album

In the rental car on the way to Indianapolis...

...or Arby's. Depends on who you ask!

The Children's Museum of Indianapolis is the largest children's museum in the world!

Five floors of fun - very impressive! There were plenty of things to touch and climb on!

Among the several exhibits was the Dinosphere - giant dinosaur skeletons surronded by a lush habitat and weather-changing dome ceiling.

And for all you Harry Potter fans like me, I give you Dracorex hogwartsia, named in honor of the famous wizarding school. It's name litterally means, "dragon king of Hogwarts." Pretty cool, huh?
One of the coolest exhibits was the tour through an Egyptian tomb replica. At the end, the kids were able to help prepare a faux "mummy." First they pulled the brains out through the nose, (a big hit with the kids!) and threw them away!
Then they pulled out all the internal organs. That's Andrew holding the lungs. (A budding anesthesiologist, Bryan said!)
Here's Kimball and Lakely wrapping the mummy.

At closing time, they had an ingenious way to get reluctant kids to leave - a musical good-bye parade that winded down the four-story walkway and out the door! Brilliant!
Dinner with the Shupes at The Old Spaghetti Factory, one of my favorites!

I was really impressed at what a clean and beautiful city Indy is! It didn't hurt that the weather was gorgeous too!
On the road again! Let's do it again next weekend!

Looks like it was a great time! I've heard so many good things about the Indianapolis Children's Museum. Between all that and htese pictures, it makes the Cleveland Children's Museum look like a backyard birthday party. I love the idea of the farewell parade...that really is super clever. And I'm jealous that you go to go to the Old Spaghetti Factory -- I haven't been to one of those in probably 8 years. I'm not, however, jealous of Andrew's seating arrangment...stuck between two carseats. Ugh!

Wow, what a fun trip. I never knew that their children's museum was so huge! We will definitely have to do the drive! Five hours isn't too bad. I'm a big fan of Arby's too, gotta love those curly fries!

That children's museum puts the Cleveland Children's museum to shame. I want to go! Glad you had fun on your trip. Way to Priceline it- that's the only way to go!

Summer, I'm so glad you found me! We've thought about you guys a lot over the past almost 2 years. I seriously can't believe it's been that long, but when I see pictures of Andrew, I know it has! It's good to be back in touch. I can't wait to read your blog and catch up on your life! Congrats on your baby girl!!

Hey Bryan (or should I call you David--you crazy double agent you!),

While I know my wife's picture appears next to this comment, this is actually from Jeromy (Although I go by...um....Oliver now..yeah...Oliver) Anyway, I knew all those power point presentations in med school weren't wasted on you. Look at you now. A full-fledged blogger. Rock on, man. I hope you're loving passing gas as much as I am. (woh! Just passed some more). You still owe us a family play date at Disney(blank). Like Disney(land), or Disney(World), or Disney(somewhere instead of attending the anesthesia conference down the street). Hey, just keeping it real. You guys are still the coolest people I can think of...except maybe for that guy who invented Propofol...Mr George Propofol the third, or something like that. Do you study as much as I do? Let's hope not.
Great to see yah,

Jeromy

PS I bet you I could intubate you before you could intubate me!!! (That should be interesting)
