This week at Family Home Evening, we were talking about standing up for what is right even in the face of peer pressure. Bryan related a story about a time at Scout Camp when some of the boys made homemade cigarettes from tree bark and offered them to him. He knew it was wrong, so he said, "No."
Andrew looked troubled for a minute and then said, "So I guess you didn't earn that Merit Badge, huh?"
We DIED laughing! Sadly, Bryan never did earn his Cigarette-Making Merit Badge!

Your kids crack me up! I can't believe the things they say! I love both the merit badge comment and the garments comment.
How fun that you got to go to a drive-in. We went once last summer and saw Ratatouille and Underdog, but then the drive-in closed.
i think our kids have never been to a drive in!
i just copied and pasted these 2 posts and sent them to Russ at his work, or he may never get a chance to read it! he is extra busy these days has he has a 3 day drill weekend where there are "war games" he is in charge of--for 2 battalions. he has spent possibly over 6 months preparing for it, and is still doing a few last minute things now. i think he said there would be black hawk helicopters there. he also just transfered to another division of contracting and is kind-of learning his job right now.
