This was so fun to make! Here is my naked three-tiered cake made with a bag of size 2 diapers and a whole bunch of rubber bands. That's a bottle brush holding the top two layers together.
On my SIL's cake, my mom went all out with baby spoons, shoes, binkies, hairbows, socks, bottles, teethers, and toys.

You can see my mom's detailed diaper cake-making instructions with pictures on The Thompson Family Tree.

Those diaper cakes are so amazing! You and your mom are so talented! A friend's mom made me one when I had Megan, but I like yours better. Mine had small plastic decorations that I couldn't use again, so I like the idea of real toys being on the cakes instead of small plastic fake toys.
I love yours!! You've got your mom talent for crafts. I have always been impressed and jealous of the Thompson talent!!
How cute! You did a great job. I love the idea of a diaper cake, it is super cute and super practical.
I got one of these for Jack's birthday and I loved it. Even with just diapers, it's perfect and so cute. I love the idea of decorating with blankets and toys. I'll totally be stealing that idea from you!
Summer, you did a great job! It is sooooooo cute (you know how Bryan hates it when we both go on and on about something being so cute)!
Those cakes are so much fun. Jenny has already asked me to make one for her.
Love you!
I have never even seen that before. It is so cute. I love that idea. Too bad i'm not crafty at all. I'll have to have you teach me.
