We are on DAY 3 of NO BINKIES for Hannah! She's been down to binkies at nap times only for a few weeks, but once she got over her cold, I decided it was time to go cold turkey. She loved her binkies so much, so I was prepared for quite a fight. She protested a little at first, but now she doesn't seem to miss them at all. I guess she was ready too.
You'd think I would be thrilled to get rid of the little things, right? One less thing to carry with us everywhere...no longer having to crawl under her crib in the dark, searching for the darn things...But they are all still sitting in a bowl in the cupboard. I almost threw them away today, but something stopped me. It's like I feel like I'm letting go of the last of her babyhood, and that makes me sad.
I guess I still have diapers...

I'm so impressed! I'm not sure when I'll be able to give up Mark's binkies:). I love the doctor Seuss hats... sorry your kitchen became such a mess!
Yay! Congrats. This is a good age, too. She had them while she needed them, but you're getting her off of them before it's too late.
Don't be sad. I feel the same way with Elijah. You're better than me though, I hadn't even thought of the binkies needing to go away. My poor little guy, I just might not let him ever grow up.
Thank goodness you won't have a 3-yr-old walking around and trying to talk through a binky!
Yes, you still have diapers! That's so funny because I actually felt sad when my kids got potty trained and didn't need me to change their diapers for them anymore.
You are a brave woman! I STILL haven't taken away Jack's binkys although I know I should. I'm glad Hannah dealt with it so well.
